Pink Lady Cocktail Recipe

When it comes to choosing the right cocktail while out in town with your friends, there’s nothing like the pink lady cocktail recipe, one of the most feminine drink choices out there. Its creamy texture and delightful taste will surely impress any girl. Find out more about this amazing beverage!

The pink lady cocktail is one of the most famous girly drinks available on the market, among other cocktails, including Appletini, Malibu Bay Breeze, Diamond Fizz, Raspberry Long Island Iced Tea, Cosmopolitan and White Russian.

This gin-based cocktail is as good as it looks, and undoubtedly it looks great. The fresh color, the delicate aroma and the creamy foam that floats on the top of the drink has turned this cocktail into one of the most favorite ones all around the world. Though it lacks the usual sweet flavor created by the fruits, this cocktail remains one available choice when going out.

A little bit dry, the mixed drink takes its feminine allure from the grenadine used in the recipe, made from simmering pomegranate juice for 15 minutes, with superfine sugar added. Grenadine is a red syrup mostly used in many cocktail recipes, for two important reasons: its intense color and, of course, for its delicious flavor. With the blackcurrant juice being the dominating flavor in this syrup, grenadine is used to mix cocktails like Shirley Temple, Tequila Sunrise, Mimosa or Dirty Mary.

Used since the 11th century, the gin is one popular spirit made from juniper berries, with a long tradition and strong reputation due to its medicinal properties. If it was once used for its strong perfume, flavor and curative properties, nowadays this spirit is one of the main ingredients of various cocktail recipes.

The most famous drink based on gin is the Martini, but it is also used in Gimlet (made of gin and lime juice), Gin and Tonic (gin mixed with tonic water), the White Lady (made of gin, Cointreau and lemon juice), Pink Gin (gin and angostura bitters), or Vesper (made of gin, vodka and Kina Lillet, a French aperitif wine).

Served into a classic cocktail glass, this beverage needs the following ingredients in order to be prepared by the book:

  • 4.5cl gin
  • 1tsp grenadine
  • 1 tsp cream
  • 1 egg white

  • As in many other cocktail recipes, blending is everything, so just shake the ingredients using a cocktail shaker, and then strain the mixture into the cocktail glass. All you have to do next is enjoying one tasty cocktail recipe.
